I build a client management system with Codex on a ChatGPT Plus plan and was hitting the usage limit about twice a day. ... After a few days the dashboard shows 5.2M input tokens saved in total. Today alone it saved 952K, a 65% cut on input. It is still early to say exactly how much later I hit the limit, but the numbers are moving in the right direction and I changed nothing in how I work. Setup on Windows was simple: install, turn on the Codex connector, done.

I have both Claude Pro and ChatGPT subscriptions. While, like much of the world, I am amazed by what both of these organizations offer, I was increasingly finding myself hitting 5-hour limits, and occasionally even weekly limits far in advance of what was needed. Since installing Headroom, it feels like I have the breathing room to accomplish my goals without worrying.

I installed headroom two days ago and so far it's saved me 19.5m tokens across my projects. I'm not using an API for these projects so it's just been saving me those tokens on my Usage quota via my Chat GPT "Plus" membership...but that's meant longer run times before I have to wait for usage to replenish. If the metrics can be fully trusted - it's paid for itself and more, already.

This morning, its dashboard reported 496,400 tokens saved and a 59% reduction in input tokens. I use Codex to build software and business automations, so reducing unnecessary token usage matters to me. ... At first I thought the token savings were just a number but realized I could work longer without hitting the cap.. in the last 4 days.. only hit it once.. ... Basically i will get my ROI in a week, even more..

I'll preface this by stating that I am a HEAVY user of Claude Code. These are the numbers the tool presented to me this morning, after a fairly heavy day of programming yesterday. $17.00 and 3.8 MILLION tokens saved. If these numbers are captured correctly, then this is a real winner, especially when coupled with Vexp. They appear to work side by side with no issue.

Honestly, wasn't entirely sure about it... but it works -- and those token savings add up. You can really feel it when you're burning through them. If you live in Claude Code / Codex, definitely take it for a spin!

I use the paid version of headroom since I am lazy, it easily gives me 30% more usage at bare minimum. In addition I use wozcode to make it even more efficient, I feel like I've tripled my usage limit with these two in combination. Headroom chains RTK as well as other stuff together.

The bigger win for me is getting more hours of Claude Code before I hit my max 5x wall. ... The addon panel is the part I like most. Each addon says what it does, which agents it supports and what the trade-off is (Serena's card tells you it adds its tool definitions to every request). Install, enable, update and uninstall are one click each, so I can try a tool and drop it again without editing config files by hand.

I use OpenAI Codex as my primary coding assistant with VS Code as my IDE. I have been using this tool for approximately three weeks. I started using Headroom with Claude Code in VS Code and the terminal for smaller coding projects, and my first impressions were very positive: the token savings were real - and substantial. ... The tool is helpful and I have saved tokes using it so its a big win for me. The developer personally reached out to me with some assistance on some issues I initially had, and helped me work though them.

I am still figuring out all the options to best optimize, but appreciate both the quick response I got from support with questions and the tool that so far does what it says it will do.

The product is getting regular updates and fixes, so I want to show some grace here. After the most recent update, it seems more stable and I was able to get past my prior blocker. ... It just needs more stability tweaks.

Headroom has saved me $180 and 18.1M input tokens in the few days I've had it so far. Wowza. I check that dashboard more than I'd like to admit ... I suspect your core audience is people who don't want to assemble the CLI/RTK stack themselves, and the app nails that.

I recently tried working without Headroom again, and it was definitely a mistake! I'm going to start using it again :)

...you're basically saying "pay us for free money"... but it works. It's just one of those claims that you have to see to believe, ya know?

I picked up Headroom this month and I'm genuinely impressed. It's already helping me get a lot more out of my Claude Max x20 subscription, which is exactly what I hoped for.

In my test on the same job, Anthropic counted about 18% fewer input tokens with Headroom running, and Headroom's own counter showed about a quarter of my new tokens saved over the last day.

Objective output quality was more or less on par with the non-Headroom runs: same facts, same bug-catching, same handling of feedback. All-in-all, Headroom is definitely a keeper in my stack!

I've been very pleased with Headroom so far. I'm no developer, just a curious enthusiast trying to learn new things. I just switched from ChatGPT Plus to Claude Pro. I've been having better success overall with Claude, but I'm not super stoked about the usage limits on a Pro plan, even for a single personal user. Headroom has been a lifesaver. I'll definitely be subscribing to a year of Pro when my trial ends in 3 days. So far I've been saving about 19.5% on my token usage...
